Doom the Broom!
What: Join the Butte County Fire Safe Council and Paradise Recreation and Park District at Paradise Lake Boat Launch #1, to remove invasive broom plants. Volunteers will be removing invasive Scotch Broom and other invasives to help native plants grow and thrive. By removing broom around the lake, we are helping the Upper Ridge be more fire resilient!
When: Saturday, February 3rd, from 1pm-4pm
Things to know:
We require all volunteers to wear long sleeves, pants, and closed-toe shoes.
We highly recommend all volunteers to bring a reusable water bottle, snacks, gloves, a hat, and sunscreen.
Tools, gloves, water refills, and snacks will be provided.
