Dear Friends of the Bute County Fire Safe Council,
We hope all of you and your families are staying safe amid the ongoing impact of the Park Fire on our communities and landscape. The fire has now burned 383,619 acres, with 53,000 acres burned in Butte County as of this morning. Although the fire is still burning, the response and resiliency of our friends, families, and communities in the immediate aftermath is and encouraging and inspiring as we experience yet another disaster in Butte County.
Once again, wildfire has turned us to a new chapter in Butte County. Although we are devastated by the losses we’ve experienced in the last three days, we also know that we are grounded in resiliency, and the BCFSC is committed to helping those affected navigate through recovery. Working together, we can move forward with determination to restore our landscapes and communities.
In these challenging times, it is crucial to come together and support one another. The strength and unity of our community have always been our greatest assets, and they will continue to guide us through this difficult period. The Butte County Fire Safe Council remains dedicated to providing resources, guidance, and assistance to those in need.
As we look to the future, let us remain steadfast in our efforts to rebuild and heal. Thank you all for your resilience and unwavering spirit. Together, we will overcome this adversity and emerge stronger than ever.
