This fall and winter, good fire, in the form of broadcast burns and pile burning, will be part of the Butte County Fire Safe Council’s forest health resilience efforts in Magalia. Through spring 2025, Paradise Ridge residents can expect to see smoke from these healthy prescribed burns or pile burning on the Upper Ridge. All burning is weather and environmental condition dependent, and we strive to give our community members as much advanced notice as possible when a prescribed burn will occur.
