Invasive Species Removal in Bidwell Park

Join us for an invasive species removal event in the historic Bidwell Park! Help us remove unwanted vegetation found around the park to improve the safety, health, and aesthetic of the park.
The event will be held from 9:00AM to 12:00PM on Saturday, December 2nd, at the Campfire Council Ring located in South One Mile Park. We will be removing Himalayan blackberry, English ivy, black walnut, pistachio, and other plants via hand tools.
What Should You Bring?
• CLOSED TOE SHOES ARE REQUIRED
• Water Canteen – Water will be provided, but a refillable canteen is recommended.
• Long Sleeve T-Shirt/Work Shirt – We will be working with thorns, so make sure you are covered!
• Pants – Thick pants or work pants that you do not mind getting dirty.
• A Snack!
Do I Need My Own Tools?
No, all tools and personal protective equipment will be provided on your arrival.
Please bring your own gloves.
