Why Attend?
Everyone deserves a healthy relationship with fire. For thousands of years, California Indians and Indigenous peoples worldwide have used fire to care for the land. Today, we recognize both the trauma of catastrophic wildfire and the need to bring beneficial fire back into our communities in a way that is educational, empowering, social, and healing.
The Good Fire Festival is designed to reconnect people with the land, with each other, and with the positive power of beneficial fire. Whether you’re a landowner curious about prescribed burning, someone impacted by wildfire seeking healing, or a neighbor looking to connect more deeply with community and nature, this family-friendly event is for you.
