Did you know that the first full week of June is Invasive Species Action Week?

June 1st – 9th marks California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s 7th Annual Invasive Species Action Week. What is a better way to bring awareness to invasive species than a “Doom the Broom” event!

To celebrate Invasive Action Week, we are picking up where we left off on Spring Cleaning Day, removing Spanish broom at Hooker Oak Park in Chico.

Join us on June 8th, 2024 from 9AM to 12PM, at the Sherwood Forest Disc Golf Course next to Hooker Oak Park!

Volunteers are required to wear closed toe shoes, and we recommend bringing a refillable water bottle and a pair of work pants. Snacks, tools, PPE, and water will be provided. Hope to see you there!

Sign up on Golden Volunteers!
