Doom the Broom – Chico Edition!
April 13th marks the return of the highly-anticipated “Doom the Broom – Chico Edition” where we will be removing the rest of the Spanish broom that was left in the Lindo Channel! Join us for part 2 and help us avenge our fallen tool: Weed Wrench #17.
What: Join the Butte County Fire Safe Council in removing invasive broom in Chico. Help in improving the resilience of native plants found in the area, while simultaneously reducing the fire risk and improving the safety and aesthetic of the park!
When: Saturday, April 13th from 9am-12pm
Things to know:
We require all volunteers to wear long sleeves, pants, and closed-toe shoes.
We highly recommend all volunteers to bring a reusable water bottle, snacks, gloves, a hat, and sunscreen.
Tools, gloves, water refills, and snacks will be provided.
