Doom the Broom!
What: Join the Butte County Fire Safe Council and Paradise Recreation and Park District at Moore Road Ball Park to remove invasive broom plants. Volunteers will be removing invasive Scotch Broom and other invasives to help native plants grow and thrive. By removing broom around the park, we are helping the Upper Ridge be more fire resilient!
When: Saturday, April 6th from 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm (You can choose which time to sign up for on Golden Volunteers).
Things to know:
We require all volunteers to wear long sleeves, pants, and closed-toe shoes.
We highly recommend all volunteers to bring a reusable water bottle, snacks, gloves, a hat, and sunscreen.
Tools, gloves, water refills, and snacks will be provided.
