Doom the Broom!
What: Join the Butte County Fire Safe Council and California State Parks at Lime Saddle Marina, to remove invasive broom plants. Volunteers will be removing invasive Scotch and French Broom to help native plants grow and thrive. By removing broom around the lake, we are helping the Upper Ridge be more fire resilient!
When: Friday, February 9th from 10am-2pm
Where: Lake Oroville State Recreation Area (3428 Pentz Road, Paradise, CA, 95969)
Things to know:
We require all volunteers to wear long sleeves, pants, and closed-toe shoes.
We highly recommend all volunteers to bring a reusable water bottle, snacks, gloves, a hat, and sunscreen.
Tools, gloves, water refills, and snacks will be provided.
