Community Pyrotherapy – Prescribed Fire for Healing and Education
January 18 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Join Chico State Pyrotherapy at Noble Park in Paradise on Saturday, January 18th, for a morning of education, healing, and connection to nature and community!
This Community Pyrotherapy event is ideal for anyone curious about prescribed and cultural fire. Whether you’ve been impacted by wildfire and want to transform your relationship with fire, you’re a landowner looking to use fire as a management tool but don’t know where to start, or you’re seeking to build community with neighbors on the Ridge while deepening your connection to nature, this experience is for you!
This event seeks to unite neighbors to repair our relationship with beneficial fire through prescribed pile burns, Indigenous cultural fire education, and nature therapy. This event is in partnership with Neighbor-to-Neighbor, California Volunteers.
When: Saturday, January 18th, from 9am-1pm
Where: Noble Park in Paradise (located on Pentz Rd between Wagstaff & Merrill Rd)
