Butte County Collaborative Group Tour: Emergence Soil Factory and Pilot Project

Members of the Butte County collaborative are invited to join Emergence (Earthworm Soil Factory / Butte Valley Supply) for a group tour highlighting their ongoing work and partnerships in Butte County.

Joel White will lead a weather-dependent outdoor walkthrough of the Soil Factory operations, followed by a visit to a one-acre pilot project where compost was applied to one plot and compared with an untreated area. The tour will provide an opportunity to observe and discuss measurable differences on the ground and explore how soil-focused practices can support long-term landscape health and resilience.

Following the outdoor portion of the tour, Joel will host an in-office presentation sharing more about Emergence, his broader vision, and how this forest-to-farm approach is scaling across the region.

After the tour, a taco truck will be operating out front for anyone who would like to stay and continue the conversation over lunch.
