Biochar Workshop and Showcase

From Paradise Recreation and Park District:
Come out and learn from local fire experts on how to produce and use biochar that can be done on your own land. This is a collaborative community event put on by local agencies, we would love to have you out there.

Who: Everyone is welcome! No RSVP needed.
What: Always wondered what biochar is all about? Come get hands-on experience making biochar with 3 local experts and get all your biochar-related questions answered! We will be making 3 kilns worth of biochar.
We need at least 12 participants to come get their hands dirty helping to haul and load materials. This will mean some physical labor near a fire. Not interested in helping with the burn, but still interested? No problem, come anyway to hang out and learn..
When: Saturday December 3, 2022
9am-4pm, in Paradise, CA.
What to Bring:
- Reusable Water bottle
- Snacks
- Cotton long sleeve clothing
- Work gloves
- Close toed shoes/ sturdy boots

ALL BURNS ARE WEATHER PERMITTING. Call the BC Burn Day number, (530)332-9406 after 8:00AM on the day of the event. WE WILL NOT BURN IF IT IS A “NO BURN DAY”!!!
