Doom the Broom!
What: Join the Butte County Fire Safe Council, Paradise Recreation and Park District, and Camp Fire Restoration Project at Crain Memorial Park to remove invasive broom plants. Volunteers will be pulling invasive broom and other invasive plants, which will allow for more native plants to grow and have more access to natural resources. By removing these invasive plants, we will help Concow be more fire resilient!
When: Sunday, March 10th, from 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm (You can choose which time to sign up for on Golden Volunteers).
Things to know:
We require all volunteers to wear long sleeves, pants, and closed-toe shoes.
We highly recommend all volunteers to bring a reusable water bottle, snacks, gloves, a hat, and sunscreen.
Tools, gloves, water refills, and snacks will be provided.
