“Prepared Paradise” Emergency Exercise and Siren Test

The Butte County Fire Safe Council will have a booth at Paradise Community Park from 9am to 12pm.
Residents can anticipate the following timeline of events during the drill day:
- 8:30am: Exercise commences – residents will notice uniformed first responders and vehicles throughout the Town.
- 9:00am – 12:00pm: TOP Pop Event at Paradise Community Park
- 10:00am: Audible test of completed Early Warning Sirens.
- 10:00am-11:00am: Traffic control in effect – motorists will be directed to detour from Skyway to Wagstaff to Clark Rd.
This will be the first audible test of our Early Warning Sirens (EWS), with the test starting at 10am.
- Residents should expect to hear a voice command stating”
- “This is a test of the Paradise Early Warning Sirens.”
- Followed by a 30 second high low siren.
- The test will conclude with another voice command “This has been a test of the Paradise Early Warning Sirens.”
