🦅Some of our staff had the chance to go out with our own BCFSC's Registered Professional Forester, Kieran O'Leary and Cheryl Balentine, from Sierra Timber Service, to learn how to conduct botany and wildlife surveys. The goal of this training was to teach our field coordinators how to correctly identify target survey species in the area. The first stop was at the area of Coutolenc and Skyway to look at rare and threatened plants. And the second stop was to Paradise Lake off Lucretia Road to look at the Bald Eagle nest. We are so excited to share the first video in the "Ready's Happy Habitat" series. The "Ready's Happy Habitat" program is a quarterly award nominated by the Paradise Ridge Fire Safe Council.
